  1. Inside the terminal follow the signs for Bahnhof / Trains. The railway station is one level below the arrivals hall.

    Board the ÖBB Railjet towards the city and get off at the first stop, Wien Hauptbahnhof. Buy the € 4.40 ticket at any machine or in the ÖBB app — it also covers your onward tram ride in Vienna.

  3. Leave the station at street level following Südtiroler Platz and cross to the tram stop Hauptbahnhof on Wiedner Gürtel.

    Take tram 18 (direction Burggasse-Stadthalle) or tram 62 (direction Lainz) and ride 3 stops to Matzleinsdorfer Platz.

Good to know

From 7 September 2026 until autumn 2027 the City Airport Train (CAT) is replaced by buses and the S7 only runs as far as St. Marx. The Railjet to Wien Hauptbahnhof is not affected — it is the fastest and simplest way into the city.

Travelling light? Take any S-Bahn (S1, S2, S3, S4) from Wien Hauptbahnhof one stop towards Meidling to Wien Matzleinsdorfer Platz, then walk 7 minutes — no change of vehicle.

  1. Leave the terminal towards Erdbergstraße and follow the signs for U3 Erdberg — the underground entrance is right beside the bus platforms.

    Take the U3 towards Ottakring and get off at the very first stop, Schlachthausgasse. Buy a € 3.20 single ticket at the machine before you go down — it covers the whole way to the apartment.

  3. Follow the exit Schlachthausgasse. The tram stop of the same name is directly outside the station.

    Take tram 18 (direction Burggasse-Stadthalle) and ride 11 stops to Matzleinsdorfer Platz. It runs along the Gürtel and calls at Hauptbahnhof on the way.

Prefer to stay underground? Ride the U3 on to Stephansplatz, change to U1 towards Oberlaa as far as Reumannplatz, then take tram 6 (direction Burggasse-Stadthalle) four stops to Knöllgasse — same ticket, about the same time.
